




Pollença enjoys a privileged geographical situation for the nature lovers; trippers will find a large number of alternatives in several spots.
The area has a big native botanical wealth which is revealed in different plant communities which go from the characteristic holm-oak wood to the most extents of wild olive tree, shrub, rockrose and palmetto tree (the only European palm tree).There is also an endemic plant called the Naufraga Balearica which grows in an area of the mountain range next to Cala Sant Vicenç.
The ornithologists are also going to enjoy from some examples of ospreys in the Albufera 295 hectares of natural reserve where it goes through El Rec and the Font de Mal Any stream- and in other places from the area where other examples like the vulture and the hawk can be observed.
